Infectious diseases and reproductive health
November 20, 2024
International Conference
Agenda
The issues of strengthening reproductive health and the institution of the family are priority areas of state policy in Russia. It is no coincidence that the conference, organized jointly with recognized Russian and foreign experts, on this topic is being held in the "Year of the Family". In our country, since this year, under the State Guarantees Program for Free Medical Care, examinations of men and women are being conducted to assess their reproductive health. Various pathogenic microorganisms play a significant role in reproductive dysfunction. These include sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and common infectious diseases such as mumps, viral hepatitis, AIDS, as well as opportunistic infections. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than a million people worldwide are infected with pathogens from this group of diseases every day, and the incidence rate among young people is 4-5 times higher than among the population as a whole. The task of the international expert community within the framework of the conference is to discuss the most pressing issues related to early diagnosis, effective treatment in the context of progressive antibiotic resistance and the development of chronic forms of infectious diseases against the background of immunological deficiency, as well as new opportunities in the prevention of infections affecting reproductive health.
The conference program will be of interest not only to scientific specialists engaged in fundamental and applied research in the field of reproduction, but also to clinicians for the use of scientific achievements in their practical work.

The conference is held in support of the development of modern molecular biological technologies with the participation of the world-class Center for Genomic Research to ensure biological safety and technological independence (Agreement of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 075-15-2019-1666 dated October 31, 2019).
